My Journey
Hello there! I am Sarah Robertson, the owner and artist of Sassy Wren Studio. I have been fascinated with nature since I was a young child and subsequently earned my Master’s degree in biology. I started my career studying how urbanization affected different bat species, and it was not unusual to see me tearing around town tracking bats, radio telemetry equipment in hand, hanging out the window of my car. During this time, I found that educating people was incredibly rewarding, so I have spent the last 20 years teaching various science courses for high school and college students. The wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest lured me to Washington, where I currently spend most of my time painting in Sassy Wren Studio, hiking in the wilderness, or playing piano. My husband, Scott, is a professor of biology, and together we have two children, Kierra and Emmy.

Mission
Sassy Wren Studio began with a curious, "I wonder what would happen if I added this paint to that one...?" The science behind what I do is what keeps me intrigued and motivated to come back to figure out new techniques. My mission is to create a beautiful, functional artwork that will make my customers smile when they see it. Let's say you have a rough day, and while you are cooking dinner, you pull out a Sassy Wren Studio glass container from the pantry. You get lost in the shimmer and forget your troubles, albeit for just a moment. My goal is to bring these peaceful moments to you.

Sassy Wren Studio uses high quality materials and is committed to sustainability and your satisfaction.
